System Glossary
Every term in The Mastermind operating system, defined once. Where a concept has a canonical home, the entry links to it.
The Operating System
Circumstance
The current state of the engagement — what is actually true now, before intention or plan. One of the seven forces of the Formula. The system's controlled term for what is loosely called "the situation."
Development
The conversion of latent force into active force — bringing assets into play toward a purpose. One of the seven forces. The system's term for building position over time; not interchangeable with "plan."
Execution Principles
Control, Command, Space, Divide, Capitalize — the five governing conditions of all operations in all domains.
The Formula for Victory
The seven forces that determine every outcome in every domain — Tao, Generals, Laws, Development, Material, Circumstance, Strategy. The foundational frame the whole system resolves to.
The Fulfillment Condition
The governing concept of the entire system — a condition that must be true before the action it enables is available. Expressed across all four domains.
Generals
The quality of leadership and command directing the operation. One of the seven forces of the Formula.
Laws
The systems, discipline, and method that govern conduct under pressure. One of the seven forces of the Formula.
The Logic Engine
The four-stage operating procedure of the Mastermind mind — Perception, Interpretation, Action, Validation. The reasoning loop applied to every decision.
Material
The assets in play — what you have to operate with. One of the seven forces. The system's controlled term for what is loosely called "resources."
The Masterstroke
The highest expression of the system — the decisive action a fully-developed position makes available. What it requires, how it is built, and how it appears across all four domains.
Reading the Field
The discipline of perceiving strategic energy and mapping a circumstance across multiple dimensions — the composite picture that single-frame analysis never produces.
The Recon
Five zones of assessment that must be completed before any play is selected — in any domain, at any scale. The procedure that produces a SHIH rating.
SHIH
The operational-readiness measurement of the system — a five-level scale with trajectory indicators and cross-domain mapping. The single number that expresses how prepared a position is to act.
Strategy
The directing intelligence that arranges the other forces toward an outcome. One of the seven forces of the Formula.
Tao
Alignment — the cause, legitimacy, and shared purpose that bind a force together. The first of the seven forces of the Formula.
Vectors
Primary, secondary, and reserve vectors — the structure of any multi-front operation in any domain. How force is distributed across simultaneous lines of effort.
